How do you see what the strings are tuned to on the tab? Some songs that I know are in alternate tunings do not show that.

Double click on the instrument name ("steel string guitar", etc.)under the track listing at the bottom of the screen. This will bring up a menu which will allow you to pick the tuning for each string. Hope this helps.

Is there some way of having the tuning displayed on the TAB?
(For example, TABbing out some tunes in open E, it would be good to have EBEG#E displayed at the beginning of the TAB lines)

Alexander:
Do what scott said, double click on the instrument and it will allow you to tune it to whatever tuning u need. The numbers for the frets remain the same

Alexander: b1-9 indicates which octave its in. I believe it starts with E3, A3, D4, B4, G4, E5. The lower the number the lower the octave, like E5 is two octaves higher than E3. You'll be taking the bottom string down to B2.

Yes. Have you even TRIED to figure this out by yourself?

Christ, this forum is littered with questions about the most basic features. I haven't had any trouble figuring out everything I didn't initially understand about the program by just clicking around in the most obvious areas.

Figure it out.
