Hi,

anyone knows if selecting multiple notes (for instance to lower the tone of a complete riff)?

Thanks

Hi,

I can't find a way to select multiple notes, but if you just want to lower the tone try this:

1.Double click the instrument track you want to edit
2.Change the pitch of each string (e.g. all down 2 semitones from their original values) and deselect "Transpose afected notes" (the misspelling is in Tuxguitar btw)
3.Click OK
4.Edit the instrument again, changing the string pitches back to the original values. This time leave "Transpose afected notes" selected and click OK

That then alters the pitch of every note by a fixed amount (2 semitones lower in this example).

If you just want to edit a few bars from the track (but not the whole track), I suggest you copy those bars to a new track, follow the procedure above, then copy it back.

There may be a better way, but I haven't found it yet!

If anyone knows how to alter the strength of lots of notes at once (e.g. from f to mp), please could you tell me?

Thanks

Actually, it's much easier than I thought. Just go to Tools, Transpose!

Thanks for the answer!

This solves the problem of transposing a set of notes.

I still think it would be useful to be able so select multiple notes, for instance to copy a part of a measure.
