WAVE to MIDI

I am despairingly trying to find a good WAV to MIDI converter to be used with TUX guitar, since .MIDI is the only extention which TUX can import....The idea is to have someone playing a piano for example and have it as input to TUX guitar, then i would have it tranlated to a partiture ....Can you sugest me a good Freeware converter? Some which would work with TuxGuitar. Thanks
