Hi everyone!
First of all thanks for TuxGuitar. It's really great!
But I'm writing because I got it working on my SXDE 1/08 yesterday. There's no good tablature software for solaris and maybe someone will be interested in solaris binaries

You might want to contact Julian and ask about moving your binaries to download section. I have contacted him recently and sent him PPC Linux binaries.

hmm i don't remember this post..
I think that if you download the gnu/linux version, and replace lib/swt.jar
to the one for solaris:
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/S-3.6M3-200910301201/index.php#swt
it should works.. then ofcourse some GNU/linux specific plugins (see tuxguitar-alsa ) at share/plugins must be removed

Hello. Could you write me a detailed procedure, what and how to do exactly what
and where to copy, etc. ..? I am a beginner in UNIX. Thank you.
Please excuse my bad English

Download the package named "GNU/Linux-x86 Binary Files"
http://sourceforge.net/projects/tuxguitar/files/TuxGuitar/tuxguitar-1.2-linux-x86.tar.gz
It's a compressed file, you have to extract it,
and in the extracted folder you have to see a "lib" folder.
there is "swt.jar" file.
Go to eclipse.org and download SWT for solaris.
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/S-3.6M3-200910301201/index.php#swt
extract the downloaded file, and remplace "swt.jar" from downloaded to tuxguitar-1.2-linux-x86/lib
then, in theory, if you make 2 clicks to tuxguitar-1.2-linux-x86/tuxguitar
application must start.
You are going to see some errors, because some GNU/linux specific plugins..
just go to tuxguitar-1.2-linux-x86/share/plugins and remove tuxguitar-alsa folder, and tuxguitar-alsa.jar
and ofcourse, you must make sure you have java installed.

fish, what was the error ???
tuxguitar's sources are multiplatform (works under all platforms that java supports )
the issue is SWT.. you have to make SWT works in solaris (it's supposed that there is a solaris release )
So to help you i need to know what are you doing, and what was the error logs..

hello.
Now about a week to get a PC, but I remember that I do not write any error messages.
I acted according to your instructions, I extracted everything into my directory / home, rewrote swt.jar and erase plugins, well then I tried to run the program, but nothing, absolutely nothing is done, and no error message.
I am not of much wisdom.
advance for any advice thank you.

But, how did you tried to exec it ?? by 2 clicks ??
Try open it in a terminal first to see all error messages..
At this point you know more than me, cause i never used/saw solaris.
As it's POSIX based as i readed, i think command line should be:
cd /where_tuxguitar_is_installed
./tuxguitar

Yes, I tried to run 2 clicks. When I get to your PC and try it in the terminal.
Thank you for your advice.
