Subject Displaying Note Names in Score   Post Reply Post New Topic

Is there a feature that will show you the note name when you put in the fret numbers? For example if I put in 0 on the lowest string and by guitar is in Drop D, then it will display a D on top of the note. This way you don't have to insert note names one by one.

That would be a really cool feature, but difficult to implement because you would have to change the font color depending on the length of the note (everything less than 1 beat would need white text on the black background, and over 1 beat would need black text on the white background).

That would be really good for writing stuff for learners and kids though, and would make it easier to learn to read music properly. So it is a good idea, I just don't know if the developers will think it is worth the effort to add it to the next version (if there is one).
