Subject No Gervill on ubuntu 9.10   Post Reply Post New Topic

Hi,

Ijust installed tuxguitar(your ubuntu package) on Karmic Koala. There is no gervill sound in the settings. Is there a problem with my PC or does anyone else have this problem too?

Gervill is not a gnu/linux, or tuxguitar module.

it's a Synthesizer plugin for java sound api ( included as default in Open JDK ).

To make gervill works in tuxguitar you have to:

* Make sure tuxguitar-jsa (java sound api) plugin is installed
* Make sure you have "Open JDK" instead of Sun's JDK installed, or you have gervill installed in sun's JDK.
