At edit time, you can choice between voices ( only 2 voices support ) from:
* Menu: Edit -> Select voice 1/2
* Toolbar, the buttons are near to Undo/Redo buttons
* Shortcuts: Ctrl + 1 and Ctrl + 2 ( you can reconfigure them at Tools -> Shortcuts )

Thanks very much, Julian. I discovered that I had downloaded TuxGuitar 1.0. When I upgraded to TuxGuitar 1.2, there the voices were, just where you said. They really should have provision for at least three voices (four would be better) though. Three is quite common in Classical Guitar Music.

Some other commercial tools uses 4 voices.
They add some "ABCD" buttons at the bottom of the editor to select one of the voice.
Moreover, you can select a color for each voice. This is really useful to check for voices affectation errors (and then it's nice to be able to switch to a gray color mode :))
