No matter what I try, I can't get TuxGuitar working on windows 7 64 bit. I used to use it on Windows XP 32 bit with no problems... this is very disappointing. Can someone help out?

There was no 64 bit release..
if you want it, i think you could
* 1
download SWT for windows 64 bit:
http://www.eclipse.org/swt/
extract the downloaded file, and copy swt.jar to /where_is_tg_installed/lib/ ( overriding the old swt.jar, that is for 32bit )
* 2
Remove native plugins ( they are compiled for 32bit )
go to /where_is_tg_installed/share/plugins
and remove
tuxguitar-jack
tuxguitar-winmm
tuxguitar-fluidsynth
* 3
Launch it.. but use the tuxguitar.bat file instead the .exe .

I had the same problem. I followed the tip by Julian and it worked perfectly on W7 Home Premium 64. Thanks!

I have Java 6 installed and tixguitar works without problems. By the way Julian, because you give us different windows installers, which one should be first choice (best performance, low ressources)?
Thanks
