I'm looking for a way to input lower register notes (ie notes played by the thumb in a chord melody/fingerstyle piece) so that 2 notes can appear on the same beat but have different lengths, and the stems of the notes go in different directions. This is possible in powertab by specifying bass notes as lower register. Is it possible in tuxguitar?
Yes you click on the "voices" icons on the tool bar. Voice 1 is upper and voice 2 is lower. Look for them
Although at the start of each measure I find you have to enter a bass note first for this to work, even if its not needed. Just enter it first and delete it later (if required) after youve done the other upper notes.
Tux is brill program but lacks full user instructions big time.
