Subject Two notes at same time of different duration   Post Reply Post New Topic

How do I manage to fit in two notes that start one the same moment, but one needs to last longer than the other.
Like for example, bass notes last for the complete measure but the singing note are much shorter.
For the moment I select a second voice to do this, but I would like to have them on the same voice.

Yes this is my concern along with others I know who use this that contact me about it. The only way I figured out to do this is to Tie the note in the measure of the same track for the full duration, else create a separate track for this. What about Ringing of the notes. I know Guitar Pro does that, does TuxGuitar allow for that. Ringing to me is letting the note carry on even though it's not a full note. I found to make my songs I put down sound like the way I play it, I have to tie all the notes to each other even if they are quarter notes,thus it sounds like what I am playing.
