Hello,
I wondered if it was possible to export midi files, that actually sound the same as when i play them on tuxguitar, with the SGM 2.01 on fluisynth.
When I play my tracks on tuxguitar, it sounds great, thanks to the quality of instruments sounds featured on SGM, but when i try to export in MIDI, it sounds like normal original midi or Java. I would like to export the midi files, with the same sounds as when played on tuxguitar.
Anyone can help? thanks!

MIDI files don“t include sounds, they only have midi events so the sound depends on the midi synthesizer you are using to play the midi file.
Just try to play the midi file with fluidsynth using SGM 2.01 and it should work with the same sound.

thanks for the reply.
I wanted to do this to share my songs with friends, but in that case, if I send the midi to a friend, the sound he will get depends on his own midi settings right? I'd better convert to mp3 then.
