I recently purchased some tuxguitar tracks and found they have drum tab on it aswell, and as Im starting to learn the drums wanted to see if I could have a go at this as well. Is there anywhere where drum tab is documented ?

This stuff is written :

36 36 40 36 40 36 40
35 35 44 35 35 44 35 44

The numbers you find in the drum track correspond to the drum instrument specified by the general MIDI (GM) Drum-Map. So 36 and 35 are two different sounding Bassdrums, 40 is a Snare and 44 is a Pedal HiHat. You can find a complete list at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_MIDI#Percussion

By the way: It doesn't matter on which line (or string) you write the drum note, so you can use the strings to arrange the instruments to keep track of what's going on.

I noticed that there are more percussion sounds for codes 81 through 87 and they are not listed at http://www.midi.org/techspecs/gm1sound.php

Is there a listing for these?
