I've just installed TuxGuitar on my Millenium Edition-equipped PC and now find it won't open any of my Guitar Pro files, GP3, GP4 and a couple GP5s. In fact, the program freezes and I have to use CTRL ALT DEL to manually close it. It does seem to read my PowerTabs OK. I have an updated Java 1.6 version.

It must be some problem with compatibility between Java Runtime and WinMe. Try Java 1.5 runtime.
