can't select drums as a track

I can't select drums with tuxguitar. I can only edit the drum track with opening a .gp4 file. Why?

If you go to track -> properties there is an option "Percussion Track" Click on this option, and press "Ok"

thanks, next question: can I import a percussion track in a .tg or .gp5 file?
