Everytime I try to open any type of Guitar Pro file it says: Cannot open *name of file* It's driving me nuts! Please help

Jay, go to "Tools -> Plugins" menu.
is "GPx File Format plugin" available in the list ?
is it enabled ?
if yes, try please run tuxguitar under a terminal
and paste here the full error log to see what is happening.

Well, I just tried opening a different GP3 and and it worked, but I dont understand why the other one didnt...
This is the tab that wouldnt work:

Yes, i'm looking that this file isn't working.
