problem box when playback

As I am playing classical guitar, I am used to scores, not tabs. The problem is, that when I use the playback mode to play together with other instruments, there is always this annoying box surrounding the tact, which is on the same level as the helping lines. This makes, for instance, the deep E look like a G, and I keep on making mistakes when playing. Is there a way to get rid of that box? Cheers, Fabian.
