Hello, when I try to copy a 7 string instrument into a 6 string instrument the program brings up an error message

(Error in Java Launcher. Error occured while calling main method in Java class org/herac/tuxguitar/gui/TGMain)

Then the program closes.

This only occurs when the 7th string has a note on it. This bug may occur with other string numbers (eg, 5 to 4, 7 to 4)

It should either shift the note up an octave or destroy it (or let the user choose)

You should add an 8 string guitar as well :)

I forgot to say, I'm using WinXP, pentium 4, 1GB Ram and TuxGuitar 1.0-rc3

Sorry, I just realised I had downloaded an old version. I just got the latest release and it had already been fixed, way to go :)
