I need simple directions for how to fix the print appearance. Specifically the amount of space between the lines of the staff and tabs and the style. Even though I disable compact option when viewing the score, it is still compacted when printing and I can't find a control for this in the UI.
I really like and appreciate the software, but I am trying to learn to play banjo and to teach someone else how to read music notation and not having these controls makes printouts less useful.
If someone can give me the basic directions, I'd be happy to test it out and try to make a clear "howto" that could then be posted somewhere so others can find it more easily.
Or do I get the best results by exporting to LilyPad? I haven't used that in ages but might be able to figure it out again. However UI-based controls would be more useful for the average user.
Probably not relevant, but I am running SUSE. I forget the release number (my brain isn't what it used to be). TuxGuitar appears to be 1.2.

it looks like one work-around was to export as PDF. Unfortunately I can't specify the paper size then, so it exports as letter when I need A4. But it got around the compact issue.
I also tried importing into LilyPond but the exported file wasn't valid for LilyPond and I couldn't figure out how to fix it, despite hours studying the lilypond info pages.
I also wish I could make the thing quit defaulting to Letter for the paper size, but despite my printer and locale being correct, it continues. I even tried switching to the Swedish translation to see if that somehow influenced it, but no luck there either.
