I am using TuxGuitar 1.1 in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS with TuxGuitar Sequencer and Gervill (only option I have for MIDI port).
When I start up the system everything sounds fine in TuxGuitar, but at some point, usually after watching a video on youtube or playing music in rhythmbox, when I place notes or play them back they sound really terrible.
The best way I can describe how they sound, is that the notes sound distorted (more than normal), somewhat out of tune, choppy, and with some sort of buzzing electrical interference type noise in the background.
I've tried changing MIDI sequencers (the only other one I have available is Real Time Sequencer though), restarting the program, closing Rhythmbox and Firefox, etc. and the only thing that seems to work is restarting my computer.
Does anyone know a solution for this? I'm getting tired of restarting my computer all the time.
