This isn't so critical, but it should be fixed some day.

Put the cursor/square on a string with no previous note. Click the "tie" button. It will add a tied note with no predecessor.

Well that isn't a bug. it was planned as it..

Maybe when you add a "tied" note withing any previous existent, you can think it's a bug..
but you must think.. you maybe can add the original note "later"
i mean.. i write first the note, then the tied..
but we can't assume all users will do that.
somebody can add first the tied, and then the note ( maybe depending the current cursor position, determine what will you do first )

by the way.. if you have a "wrong" tied.. it'll just not sound.

Okay. I don't think that way - the ties only come after I've entered the first note, but it's not a problem. I did notice that wrong ties don't sound, and that's cool (except if they did, I'd find my mistakes quicker...)
