 signature key is not saved with GP4 file

I imported a GP4 file which had no signature key. I changed the key to 1 sharp which adjusted the musical notation. Put in 4 sharps later on where the key changed and saved as .gp4. When I reopened the file there was no signature as before.
If I import the gp4 file, make the changes and save as .tg then the edits are there when I reopen the file. No big deal as gp4 is a supported format in TG but it can be frustrating until you figure out what is going on.

GP* fileformat, don't support key signatures as tuxguitar need. so tuxguitar can't save them to that file format.
It's allways recommended work with the application fileformat (not only for tuxguitar.. it's for all ) because the fileformat is designed based on application requirements.
By other hand, if you still want save to GP file formats, GP5 is hightly recommended, because there are a lot of tuxguitar features what are not supported on GP4 or lesser.
