I was wondering if i can import some music our band created and tab the individual parts, like bass and piano. I am having trouble finding a way. The music is on a cd as well as in Mp3 format.

No you can't import Audio files.
mp3 is a compression of a WAVE raw audio.
this kind of formats have the required info to make sounds, but not info such as notes, durations, etc.. needed to display the tablature.
