Subject TabRite import?

I was hoping to find some interest in a utility to import or convert TabRite files. So far, the only program that can do this is TablEdit and I think this feature would make a great addition to Tux.

The format looks pretty simple - not encrypted - and while the TabRite program is free, it is buggy, not being developed, and seriously out of date.

do you mean, it's a text/plain format ?

Do you know any place where we can take a look to some sample files ?

There are a bunch on this site:
http://bluegrassbanjo.org/bluetabs.html

The files are text, separated by commas and quotation marks. This is the first two measures of a song from that site:

The files are divided into 9-line items. First item is song info, second is measure info, and then there is an item for each note. Then an item to start measure two, then an item for each note, etc.
