1. Add a search feature to the forums
2. Add a mute/solo and change instrument button on each track in the bottom pane like Guitar Pro
3. Label the tracks in the mixer
4. Make your program quicker to uninstall, it took a few seconds too long to get this crap off my machine
I never thought that a program could be made that is more annoying than Guitar Pro

1. fair comment, I want a forum search too. You could use google or just ask.
2. go to Edit > Show mixer and then mute from there.
3. The tracks are labeled. I see a track name and the instrument type. I don't know what you're seeing.
4. How about saying what can be improved, rather than calling it crap.
You seem to only have a problem with muting tracks. I've given you the solution.
This program is free, unlike guitar pro. For free I'd say that it is pretty good.
Oh and the suxGuitar bit wasn't witty, it was just crap.

I've used Guitar Pro, TablEdit, and Sibelious G7 before using Tuxguitar and I much prefer Tuxguitar. All of this kind of software has steep learning curves and frustrations but I found it easier to learn Tuxguitar, and easier to retain what I have learnt, than any of the other afore-mentioned applications. There are only two things that I would like to see in Tuxguitar and that it double-barlines to mark out sections of music (just aesthetic but would make it easier for me) and a better print out quality. However, despite these two issues I have found Tuxguitar much more productive and rewarding than the years I spent messing around with Sibelious G7. I am very, very sorry that Tuxguitar doesn't currently appear to under active development.

At least 4 people have been working on it in the past week, and 2 others have made contributions recently. The main source code repository has been updated with what looks like most if not all of these changes. There are good things to come!

I don't know what browser you use. With MS-Internet-Explorer, you'll find a "Search"-Option with [Ctrl][F]. This will work in this forum, too.
I agree with bobby's reply, and I would suggest you to buy a new pair of spectacles. You know what I mean? Eye-Glasses! Anything you demand IS already part of TuxGuitar.
As a guitar-player for the last 43 years, I can confirm and testify that the developers of this Open Source Program did a MIGHTY GOOD JOB! And the character of open source is, that any user should share his experiences, and if he sees a bug or if he knows how to improve or enhance the software, he should tell.
If YOU find TuxGuitar "annoying", you should buy professional sofware for professional money, e.g. from http://www.native-instruments.com For such an ammount of money the developers there should be willing to listen to your lamentations.
