Hi,
I recently tried GP6 and although it had some neat things here and there, I like tuxguitar more. Not to mention i'll always use an open source product if possible.
However, one feature it had that I REALLY liked was the "force carriage return" to put measures/bars on a new line. I have a few files that I add small licks to, and having them all on their own line really neatens things up.
But aside from this pretty minor thing, i really really like tuxguitar. Great job on making some an awesome app!

You used the full version of GP6 or the demo?
Why do you like Tux more?

I just started playing after not touching my guitar for about 20 years, and i wasnt that great to begin with. Someone just starting out is going to have much different needs than someone thats been playing for years.
Ive read developer posts that you want to have a tab editor, not "Guitar Trainer 1.0". But at this stage I probably use it more like guitar trainer. I do jot ideas like "oh that lick sounded cool, lemme write it down in tuxguitar"......but I use it more for learning than creating right now. When I am writing things the interface in tuxguitar is cleaner, and theres more to the right-clicks as well. Because the notation icons are on top versus the side it allows more room for the score.
I found it easier to mark sections i was trying to learn, loop them and alter the speed much easier in tuxguitar than GP.
The audio in GP6 (full version) really didnt work well for me, the audio isnt synced up to the tracker. The jack plugin in tuxguitar rocks and works perfectly.
One thing thats wicked cool in GP is the ability to open multiple files into tabs. I have a feeling thats not so easy to implement though.

First, I Articulated my concerns monster turbine pro copper on the Metro. The most acutemonster beats solo problem, window management lobotomising touch screen devices, tablets, and other relatively small, there may be monster beats toura sense of time with larger screens and mouse and keyboard that doesn't make sense on a regular units. You need to get the job done and the Metro, ? can't. Of course, there is an old computer, but there are no monster justbeats old words suggesting future.
