Hi,

While Debian is not always fast with new (audio) packages it would be very great if you're also putting a *.deb package not only for Ubuntu but also for Debian.

To install a ubuntu package on debian is not recommended...

Thanks in advance,

Hi, Philippe Coval is doing that job ( Debian package mantainer )
As i know, rc2 entered to unstable yesterday ( rc3 is comming )
See here (it was called 0.99 instead of 1.0-rc2 to get a better version control when 1.0 finish ):

Well it depends on the package.
on tuxguitar case, it'll not work (without modify ) because ubuntu and debian use different paths for swt package:
/usr/lib/java/swt.jar ( on ubuntu )
/usr/share/java/swt.jar ( on debian )

So the ubuntu package will install without problems on your debian.. but if you don't modify the /usr/bin/tuxguitar script, it'll not work.
