I think it would be great to have the possibility to mute some tracks or to select the only one you want to hear

Hi Julian,
The mixer is ok, but a small mute-button on the track-panel in the main-window would be better. It's what people expect from other programs.

Although the mixer has the capability, I would definitely second the notion that a Mute / Solo button beside each track would be much more user-friendly and easier to access.

I also would like to have a mute button, to mute all the tracks preferable in the player menu.
I did an small investigation and gave it a try
(see http://one.mac-au.eu/tuxguitar/tuxguitar.jar.gz for an experimental implementation. Beware it also implements the page up/down keystroke for scrolling the editor and print preview window.
If wanted I will also upload the java code for it ....)
