why wont it let me?

wen i was making a song on tux i realized i wanted to speed up one note so wen i clicked the note and turnied it into an 8th note it just added rests between it and the next note. is there a way i can get rid of those rests?

When you have 2 notes, and decrement duration, a rest is added to fill empty space.. if you want to see next note where rest was added, just press "Delete" key where is the rest.
